Baby Einstein's Charlene Denice Pugh

Production Associate, Charlene Denice Pugh, is involved at every step with the creation of Baby Einstein DVDs and her passion for her work shows through even at her desk, which is covered (and we mean, covered) with puppets and artwork. This will be the first post of several in which Charlene weighs in on her thoughts about Baby Einstein.

What is your favorite part of the job?

“My favorite part of the job is the creative process of brainstorming. I love getting a diverse group of people in a room and turning them loose to come up with pie-in-the-sky ideas for upcoming projects. And trust me, some of the ideas are really out there. But, I love that. The fun and challenging part comes after the storm when the brain has to process all of the ideas into creating the next title. It’s during those times that I really need patience from my cat.”

What is your favorite DVD title and why?

“My favorite DVD is Baby Monet because it is just a beautiful title and showcases my favorite artist, Claude Monet. Watching the DVD reminds me of the first time I saw the brilliance of his masterpiece Water Lilies up close and personal at the Musée de l’Orangerie in Paris. Also, it’s fun watching the zebra puppet change his stripes to match the four seasons.”
