Guest Blogger Spotlight: Carrie With Children
Isn’t it such a neat sight to watch your little one discover something new? As the stay at home mom of two beautiful girls, ages two and four months old, my house is a world of discovery each day! I love watching my daughters’ eyes sparkle when they learn something new. As a parent, it brings a new meaning to life once you’ve seen things through your child’s eyes.
At birth, my youngest daughter was diagnosed with Down Syndrome. Each milestone she surpasses is a celebration for our family. We are so proud of her! Even at just four months old, she amazes me with her strength every day. Her newest discovery is that she has a thumb and that it’s tasty! I’ll never forget the first time I caught her sucking her thumb. Her eyes were as big as saucers, trying to figure out what she had found and how it ended up in her mouth! Whatever it was, you More >
Discovering Art
Did you know thatone of our favorite artists, Van Gogh, played a game of peek-a-boo with all of us by hiding a mystery painting named “Wild Vegetation,” under his famous piece “The Ravine”? Discovery really is everywhere! The Washington Post has the story.
We find that sharing your favorite works of art with your baby is a great way to bring something that you love into your everyday life together. Until your little one is old enough to create his own masterpieces, you can introduce him to art and color with Baby Einstein’s World of Colors Discovery Kit. We find it’s also fun to play games together and wanted to share some of our favorite art and color-inspired activities.

Discovering Music
It’s simply amazing that in this day and age there are new discoveries to be made in music! There are still new melodies being made and classical masterpieces being uncovered. We are big fans of Bach’s classical melodies (as you already know) so we were absolutely fascinated when just 5 years ago an unknown Aria (a solo vocal piece with instrumental accompaniment) was discovered. The excitement around the discovery has been simply astounding and just goes to show what a key part of our lives music really is. Want to read more about this discovery? Check out NPR. We believe that music is one of the greatest gifts that you can give to your baby so we wanted to share a few tips for bringing musical experiences to some everyday activities.

Love at First Sight By: Mommyfriend
The baby of our family, known as “Little BooBoo” will be turning 3 years old this month. As we prepare to celebrate him, I’m reminded of the day I became a believer in love at first sight.
From the moment we told our only son that he was about to become a big brother, he was ready. He was ready to be the big brother to a baby sister whom he decided would be named “Cinderella”. I asked him how he would feel if he ended up with a little brother instead and with More >
