Tummy Time Tips!
Tummy time is an important strengthening exercise for babies, but it can also be an opportunity to play and bond with your little one. While your baby starts to gain control of her muscles, you can have fun together with some simple games. If your pediatrician feels the time is right, make the most of it with these tummy time tips:
Laying Down With Lullabies Lay down and put baby close on your chest so she can lift her head to look up at you. Once you’ve made eye contact, start to softly sing her a lullaby. Backyard Beach You don’t need to live near a beach to introduce your baby to the wonderful world of sand and surf! With just a few supplies, you can bring the delights of the beach to your own backyard. Set up a colorful beach blanket on the lawn. Put baby in a bathing suit, or just his diaper. Since pets are such important members of the family, it’s no surprise that many fans said that their little one’s first words were either cat or dog. Guest Blogger Spotlight: Capturing Baby's First Steps by First Time Mommy
When my oldest son came into this world at 10lbs he seemed much older than he really was. Because of this and the fact that I had somehow forgotten everything I had ever learned about babies, I believed he could accomplish things much sooner than most. Of course now I realize being a new Mom I was a little overly ambitious about what he was capable of achieving. Because of this overly-ambitious attitude I almost always had my camera right by my side, ready and waiting to capture my son’s every first.
